What mastics and adhesives will BEAN•e•doo remove? BEAN•e•doo effectively removes yellow and white vinyl mastics and black asbestos tile mastics. To date we do not know of any mastic that can not be removed.
Can I use BEAN•e•doo on a wood surface? BEAN•e•doo is to be used on concrete surfaces only. We do not recommend using the mastic remover on any wood surface.
How many square feet will I get using BEAN•e•doo Mastic Remover? A gallon of BEAN•e•doo Mastic Remover will cover up to 200 sq. ft. Thicker and hard to remove mastics may reduce the coverage to 100 sq. ft. per gallon. As always, we recommend doing a small test spot before completing entire project
How long will it take BEAN•e•doo to work on the mastic? Generally most yellow and white mastics are ready to be removed in 1 to 4 hours. Black asbestos mastic is generally ready to be removed in 1 hour. As always, we recommend doing a small test spot before completing entire project to know how long it will take.
Will BEAN•e•doo darken the concrete? Yes, most chemical stippers / removers may darken the concrete. Most of this is determined on the quality of the concrete.
Can I dilute BEAN•e•doo with water? No. Do not dilute.
What are the best clean up methods after using BEAN•e•doo Mastic Remover? After the mastic is scraped up. Use a degreaser such as EMERGE and water to scrub the floor clean and then mop rinse.
Can I use an industrial rotary floor scrubber to scrub the floor after removal? We do not recommend using a rotary floor scrubber as the friction can push the soy oil into the concrete. If using a rotary floor scrubber, we recommend cleaning the floor once with long handled scrubbers first.
