We hear many, many stories of contractors (traditionally those new to concrete) who pour a new floor, put down a sealer or coating a few days later, only to find that the coating buckled and failed months later. This type of problem can be avoided by etching the concrete. The etching process allows the new coating or sealer to bond better with the surface.
